  • Do as the New Yorkers do and buy a MetroCard to see the city. MetroCards act like a debit card and can be used for bus and subway fares. You can choose to buy either a pay-as-you-ride card or an unlimited card. Rides are $2.25 each, and unlimited MetroCards can be purchased for as little as $27 for seven days. MetroCards can be purchased all around the city, including at the NYC Go Information Center across the street from the Sheraton New York. Cards must be purchased before boarding city buses.
