Cortney Anderson Wascher is Owner / President of Anderson Lock, a nationally certified Women’s Business Enterprise which employs 100+ people in two Chicago area locations. A member since 1996, she currently serves DHI as First Vice President on the Board of Governors.

After graduating with an Honors Economics degree from Vanderbilt University, in 1995, Cortney completed an internship with Von Duprin in Indianapolis, then worked as a manufacturer’s representative in the Pittsburgh region. Later, she returned to Illinois and joined Anderson Lock, the locksmith business her father founded. She was named president in 2006, and became majority owner in 2009.

Under Cortney’s leadership, the company expanded its security solutions to include doors / frames, electronic access controls, and contractor supply. Anderson Lock is now the leading source of architectural openings, sales and service, in the Chicago region.

Cortney is also a former president of both the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce and the local chapter of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction).

In 2017, she was named a winner of the DHI Award of Merit, then, in 2018, was honored with a BHMA Award of Excellence. Since her appointment in 2009, she has served on the State of Illinois Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor and Locksmith Board of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Her husband, Devin Wascher, AHC, FDAI, is Anderson Lock’s Vice President and Door Division Manager. Her children, Will and Cathryn, are active in school and sports.
