This Course will provide education on how to properly anchor security film on doors. The industry has adopted the method of using a bead of silicone around the perimeter of the day light opening onto the glass stop. This process anchors the security film to the glass stop only and not to the frame of the door. We will discuss an alternate process which was invented to provide proper anchoring by attaching the security film over the stop and onto the frame of the door. Thus, using the strength of the security film and the strength of the door frame to create a truly secure door. We will review demonstrations of the current market standard and the alternate solution to the problem utilizing video of testing of both methods from an independent testing laboratory.
