The need to understand many industry-related codes and standards differentiates our industry from numerous other distributor chain-driven industries.
This five week class, delivered once a week, walks you through opening related requirements of these Codes and Standards:
- IBC - International Building Code (2015)
- NFPA 101 - Life Safety Code (2012)
- NFPA 80 - Standard for Fire Doors and Other Opening Protectives (2013)
- ICC A117.1 - Standard for Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities (2009)
You will learn how to:
- Tell the difference between codes and standards
- Look up information
- Interpret codes and standards
- Determine requirements for fire-rated openings
- Determine requirements for means of egress openings
This class will run over five Wednesdays beginning on March 8. Classes will run from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm Eastern. Completion of COR140 will earn you 24 CEP points.
