Update on DHT & DHC Certificates for Older Courses
As we move forward with the changes to our DHT & DHC Programs, we need to address the many inquiries we have received regarding the required course completions to attain the Certificates.
We recognize that there are several tenured industry professionals who have not pursued these programs but now have an interest in receiving the certificates. These individuals have taken courses through DHI in the past and would like to apply these completions towards their new certificates. Upon review, the Education Council has decided that we must set a timeline for these earlier completions, as there may have been updates and consolidation of these older courses. Basic Courses taken more than 15 years ago will need to be re-taken.
Technical Courses over 10 years old need to be reviewed to determine the viability of these courses compared to the current offerings. DHI will be releasing a group of online challenge exams to allow members to confirm their knowledge of the coursework, allowing them to forgo completion of individual courses to attain the certificate.
