Our credentials are recognized throughout the door and hardware industry as hallmarks of technical expertise, demonstrating their holders' incomparable knowledge, skill, and dedication to life safety and security.

Certification Programs

DHI offers three certifications recognizing advanced expertise in the door and hardware industry: the Architectural Hardware Consultant (AHC) for specialists in mechanical and electrified hardware specifications; the Electrified Hardware Consultant (EHC) for experts integrating hardware with access control and life safety systems; and the Certified Fire & Egress Door Assembly Inspector (CFDAI) for professionals conducting code-compliant inspections.
