Certification Programs

DHI offers three certifications recognizing advanced expertise in the door and hardware industry: the Architectural Hardware Consultant (AHC) for specialists in mechanical and electrified hardware specifications; the Electrified Hardware Consultant (EHC) for experts integrating hardware with access control and life safety systems; and the Certified Fire & Egress Door Assembly Inspector (CFDAI) for professionals conducting code-compliant inspections.

It includes three levels: the DHIA certificate for foundational knowledge, the DHT certification for technical and project readiness, and the DHC certification for advanced consulting expertise.
